Experience

Bill Kennedy handles commercial real estate financing, acquisition, disposition, leasing, ground leasing, management and ownership structure. He works with owners, landlords, managers and tenants to move large and small commercial real estate transactions from the very start to closing.

Before joining Tatusko Kennedy, PC, Bill was with the Virginia law firms of Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald, L.L.P., Crews & Hancock, P.L.C., and Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore. There he helped a broad range of corporate and health care clients structure and close real estate transactions. His practice focuses on ownership, financing and leasing transactions, and he has extensive experience representing both borrowers and lenders in real estate financing.

Bill also spent several years in Eastern Europe and Central Asia managing multi-million dollar U.S. Agency for International Development projects. He gave foreign governments technical advice and assistance to help increase economic development through improved commercial laws, court administration and judicial education. Before focusing on real estate, he worked in commercial litigation and commercial bankruptcy, and before his legal career he worked in the health care industry. He brings all of that experience to each transaction.
